New Employees, FCA Ironnman Football League & Updated Vision and Mission from South Dakota FCA
We have new employees at South Dakota FCA! Last summer, we hired a new women’s ministry director. While building relationships with female coaches and athletes, this new director handles all female events that FCA is a part of, including girls state volleyball and girls state basketball tournaments.
We also hired a gentleman who will serve as our West River area director, and we plan to add another staff member here in Sioux Falls who will run a 10-week summer camp for us that serves up to 200 kids at Central Church. During the school year, he will serve middle and high school huddles as well as USF and Augustana campuses.
Also going on, registration is now open for our FCA Ironman Football League this summer, featuring a hybrid league for third and fourth graders — flag football with helmets — and a tackle league for fifth and sixth graders. Cost is $175 when you register by June 1, and $195 thereafter. Registration closes July 4, and practice starts Aug. 16. The schedule includes Jamboree on Aug. 30 and games Sept. 8 through Oct. 20. Visit southdakotafca.org to register.
Lastly, we updated our vision and mission statements. At South Dakota FCA, our vision is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes, and our mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Our values remain as Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.
