Inaugural Sioux River Latte Slam, hosted by The Community Outreach and Coffea Roasterie
Join The Community Outreach and Coffea Roasterie on Saturday, June 23rd at 7:00pm at Coffea Dawley Farms in Sioux Falls for the Inaugural Sioux River Latte Slam. The funds raised at this event will help those working towards self-sufficiency in the Sioux Empire. Transportation is one of the biggest unmet needs in the Sioux Falls community, especially for those who have just begun new employment and are working hard to create a life for themselves and their families.
The Sioux River Latte Slam will feature dozens of Baristas from around the region will compete to see who can pour the best design. The competition will feature two brackets, one for professional Baristas and one for Newbies whose only coffee experience is hitting the “Brew” button on their Bunn. Both brackets have great prize packages for the winners, including a Baratza Sette 270W Espresso Grinder for the top Barista!
If you think you’ve got what it takes, register to compete. But hurry because registrations are limited to the first 32 registrants, and the brackets are filling up quickly!
The night will feature amazing latte art, food trucks, and entertainment from Luke Lynass and Daniel Brunz. You’ll also find KELO’s Dan Santella and Mayor Paul TenHaken judging the event!
